Frequently Asked Wellness Center Questions
+ Who is eligible?
Employees enrolled in the PPO medical plan are eligible. Spouses and dependents are not eligible to use the onsite Wellness Center services.
+ How much do appointments cost?
The cost is a $20 co-pay due when you check in for your appointment to be paid using a credit card, debit card or your Medical FSA card. Cash or check payments are not accepted.
+ How do I schedule an appointment?
To schedule an appointment, call 877-222-8808 (option 2) and speak with a Wellness Center receptionist at your location.
+ Where do I go for my appointment?
Check in for your appointment with the Wellness Center receptionist. Winchester patients will check in with the Physical Therapist located in Building 1.
+ What should I wear to my physical therapy appointment?
Many team members prefer to wear workout clothing to their physical therapy appointments. If your schedule doesn't allow time to change, or you forget a change of clothes, your therapist will still be able to provide an effective treatment session.
+ How long are the appointments?
Your initial appointment will be one hour and each follow up appointment will be 45 minutes. Plan to allow 15 minutes before and after your appointment to check in and change clothing. If you’re running late, your appointment will still end based on your scheduled appointment time.
+ How often will I need to attend Physical Therapy?
Each individual’s treatment plan is unique. Your Physical Therapist will discuss your treatment plan with you at your initial consultation appointment.
+ Do I need to use scheduled leave for my appointment?
Employees should treat appointments at the Wellness Center like appointments with offsite providers. You’re expected to provide your management with advance notice of the need to leave the work area for appointments. Generally, if a visit lasts longer than 30 minutes, the expectations regarding using accumulated sick and/or annual leave for Wellness Center appointments are the same as they are for an outside provider.
+ What is the cancellation policy?
Notify the Wellness Center as soon as you know that you will be unable to attend your appointment. After three “no shows,” the remainder of your scheduled appointments will be cancelled in the system.
+ What if I’m already doing Physical Therapy?
In most cases, you should probably continue your treatment plan with your current Physical Therapist. If you decide to switch to the onsite services, you’ll need to schedule a consultation appointment. Refer to “How do I schedule an appointment?”
+ Is Physical Therapy painful?
While you may experience some discomfort or soreness during or after your session, Physical Therapists work within a patient’s pain threshold.
