+ What services does the Wellness Center provide?

Our experienced and welcoming staff offer free preventive and acute care services including routine physicals, exams and immunizations, condition management, treatment for illnesses and injuries and more! Visit the services page for more detailed information.

+ If I do not have insurance through Navy Federal, can I still use the Wellness Center?

All employees, regardless of their insurance coverage, are eligible to use the Wellness Centers; however, Kaiser HMO policy does not allow their members to receive preventative annual exams or lab work at the Wellness Center.

+ Can I have lab/blood test orders from another provider done at the Wellness Center?

Yes, the Wellness Center can perform labs and blood draws ordered by an outside provider. Please provide lab paperwork (email, fax or in-person) to the Wellness Center 48 hours prior to your appointment.

+ Can I make an appointment during working hours?

You should treat appointments at the Wellness Center like appointments with offsite providers. You're expected to provide your leadership with advance notice of the need to leave the work area for appointments. Generally, if a visit lasts longer than 30 minutes, the expectations regarding using accumulated sick and/or annual leave for Wellness Center appointments are the same as they are for an outside or community health care provider. If there is flexibility to combine breaks or flex time, those are also options based on leadership discretion.

+ Will I have to change my doctor because of the Wellness Center?

No, the Wellness Center is offered as a benefit to Navy Federal employees. Patients aren't required to discontinue services with their current community providers. However, employees located at or near Headquarters, Pensacola and Winchester can select the Wellness Center as their Primary Care Provider.

+ Can the Wellness Center assist with paperwork e.g., Short Term Disability (STD), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

In certain circumstances, your Wellness Center provider can assist with paperwork requests. However, they are unable to complete paperwork if they are not the provider actively treating you for the issue requiring time off work or if paperwork is requested after a period of absence from work in which they were unaware of beforehand. Please speak with your Wellness Center provider about your specific situation for assistance.
